new committee has been elected as follows:
- Boyd Kedzlie - Chair
- Sean Berrill - Secretary
- Maree Hamilton - Treasurer/Registrar (Acting)
- Sarah Kedzlie
- Denise Chapman
- Helen Waring
The committee is still looking for people to fill the following roles
within the Club:
Korfball Canterbury representatives (2) – to represent
RKC at meetings of regional body, Korfball Canterbury. Work as an individual,
a tag-team, or in unison, form relationships with other clubs in Canterbury,
and ensure that RKC is fairly and equitably represented.
Marketing and Promotion - Summer League is our main
marketing, promotion and recruitment activity. There is a huge potential
for growth, both in numbers of players and in the status of this event
in Christchurch. Want to take up the challenge?
Junior Coordinator – our other main promotion and recruitment
activity is for juniors. Another area of potential growth, just needing
someone to take the reins. Do you have the drive and motivation to really
make things hum for our juniors?
Equipment and Venue Coordinator – responsible for ensuring
our equipment is well maintained, fit for use. Also looks after our venue
bookings. Does this sound like it’s up your alley?
Club Development Officer – helps develop our coaches,
referees and other officials
Social Organiser – the title says it all. You’ll know
if this is the role for you.
Coaches/Player coach – positions available for active
coaches, to be responsible for planning, running and evaluating regular
training sessions for our members, to enable those players to develop
to the best of their ability. Support available.
• Junior coaching – various age-groups, from U10 to U13.
• Youth coaching –for ages 13 to U19
• Social-grade coaching
• A-grade coaching
Club Captains – members who represent players at various
levels, who are the go to people for new and up-and-coming players, players
that other members look up to and aspire to be like. Leaders in deed,
with good values and ethics.
Web Site Master – looks after our club web-site. Will
need to be hands on to ensure that our content is kept up to date, and
fully conversant in web page maintenance, ftp, the whole shooting match.
Loads of potential for development, but you will also need to know how
to keep it simple and accessible. Have you got the skills and motivation?
